Culture

Our rich Italian culture will once again be the focus of this year’s Italian American Heritage Festival of Iowa.  Our Cultural Hall will be located in the east wing of the Pappajohn Educational Center on the festival grounds at the corner of 12th and Locust Street.

This year we are featuring two regions of Italy. Onsite assistance for those who would like to have instructions for researching their family history via computer will be available. Always popular are our picture flip charts with recorded wedding pictures, restaurants both past and present, and pictures of various cities and towns in Italy. Also on display will be this year’s entries in the Artistic Scholarship contest, Mamma Mia, and the Immigrant Wall of Honor.

Finally, be sure to stop by the Graziano Heritage stage where you can sit in on cooking demonstrations, entertainment and educational videos.
